Just and Good: Psalm 33:5

4For the word of the LORD holds true, and we can trust everything he does. 5He loves whatever is just and good; the unfailing love of the LORD fills the earth.

Psalm 33:4-5 (NLT)

Psalm 33 starts with;

Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous ones; praise from the upright is beautiful.

Psalm 33:1 (CEB)

The following verses give reasons to praise the Lord. We can trust in Him, for the Word of the Lord is true; we can believe the truth of His Word (verse 4). We can rejoice because God loves righteousness and justice. He is good and wants us to be like him, moral and good. We should rejoice and praise the Lord for His goodness and unfailing love for us (verse 5). As His love fills the earth, let us rejoice and show love to all. ⁂

Our Lord is good, just, true, and righteous. He forgives our sins and loves us. Have you taken time to praise, rejoice and worship Him today?

Prayer; Our Heavenly Father, we rejoice in Your goodness, truth, and justice. We praise You for Your patience and forgiveness of us. We thank You for Your grace, mercy, and your unfailing love for us. Like the sunflowers grow and glow in the sunshine, let us grow in faith and glow with Your Son’s light. Amen

Gods Care: Psalm 63:7-8

smooth blue aster

Because you have helped me,  I sing in the shadow of your wings. I hold on to you tightly.  Your powerful right hand takes good care of me.

Psalm 63:7-8 (NIVR)

because you have always been my help. In the shadow of your wings I sing for joy.I cling to you, and your hand keeps me safe.

Psalm 63:7-8 (GNT)

Safety, security, comfort, and care are found nestled under the shadow of God’s wing. Happiness abounds, and we cling tightly, singing with joy for we are God’s people. God takes care of us. We are safe in His powerful hands and surrounded by His unconditional love. Jesus is our help in times of need and our hope for days to come. Our salvation.

When have you recieved God’s help and care?

Prayer: Our heavenly Father, we thank you for your help and your guidance. Lord, we praise You for Your care of us. Like the bright blossoms of the aster, we lift our faces toward you. We sing with joy because you love us and take care of us. Let us reflect your glory like the flower petals reflect sunlight. Teach us to rest in your safety Lord, and spread Your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen

Compassion: Isaiah 54:10

Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.

Isaiah 54:10 (NIV)

My word of the year this year is compassion. Surprisingly, it pops up often, usually when I least expect it. When I think of Jesus, I think of compassion, for He is the model of compassion. One definition of compassion; is a feeling you have when you become aware of another’s suffering and feel motivated to relieve that suffering. God has compassion for us. He cares about us and gives us His unfailing love. He wants to help us. However, in turn, we need to take our worries and troubles to Him. To pray and to follow His path of righteousness.
How has dwelling on the word compassion changed me? I have tried to really listen to others and to view everyone as a child of God. Right now, however, I am still a work in progress.

When is it difficult to be compassionate?

Prayer: Dear Lord, we thank you for your unfailing, unshaken love. When a variety of flowers and grasses are grown together, color and beauty increase. Teach us, to grow together in compassion and love. As one flower may be stark, grouping with other flowers makes the results spectacular. Lord, help us, in turn, to work together to achieve harmony and compassion. We thank you for the beauty of our world. In Jesus’s holy name. Amen
