His Strength: 1 Chronicles 16:11

Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him.

This verse in 1 Chronicles is also in Psalm 105:4, David’s Psalm of Thanksgiving. He wrote this verse to celebrate the return of the Ark of the Covenant. To remind everyone of the importance of seeking the Lord and having a relationship with Him. We need to search for Him and listen to His way, not seeking our path but following His path for us. Our strength is found in the Lord; He is our hope, grace, and salvation. When our world is complicated and confusing, we can find strength like David did through our relationship with our Lord. Always search for the Lord and seek His strength. ⁘

When you are overwhelmed and confused, is your first response to seek the Lord’s strength?

Prayer; Our Heavenly Father, we come to you in praise and thanksgiving. Teach us to follow Your ways and seek You. Lord, when we are overwhelmed and uncertain about what to do, let us ask for Your guidance. Like the zinnia blossoms, seek the sun; Lord, let us seek You and Your strength. In Jesus’ loving name. The Lord is My Strength and My Song. Exodus 15:2

2 God is my strength, God is my song, and, yes! God is my salvation. This is the kind of God I have and I’m telling the world! This is the God of my father – I’m spreading the news far and wide!

Exodus 15:2 is known, as the song of Moses, the first song recorded in the Bible. It is the song that Moses and the people of Israel sang celebrating crossing the Red Sea and escaping the Egyptians. It is a holy song of worship and joy. Exalt Him for God, is my strength, God is my song, God is my foundation. Encouraging us to spread the good news, God is our strength and salvation. He loves us and is our refuge and our hope! Let us sing praises to Him!

Prayer: Our Heavenly Father, we thank you for Your steadfast love and support. We are in awe of your forgiveness and grace to us. Help us to share Your Word and spread Your good news far and wide. Let us declare the Lord is my strength, my song, and my salvation. Like the bold color on the Rex begonia leaves, radiates outward, let us boldly proclaim Your goodness and radiate Your love. This a psalm of David radiates with praise and thanks. A reminder to thank God for His love and faithfulness. A prompt to praise God for His loving kindness, His words of hope, and His fulfillment of promises. Reaffirming that when we call out and pray for help, God will give us strength and encouragement. A call to worship and praise God, our strength, redeemer, and hope. Lord, we are in awe of your great works, and we give you our praise and thanks.

David was lavish in his praise for God. When you pray, do you joyfully thank the Lord for His compassion, faithfulness, and loving-kindness?

Prayer: Our Heavenly Father, we are in awe of your mercy and grace to us. We thank you for your loving-kindness and patience toward us. We praise Your Holy name for your forgiveness of our sins and Your unconditional love for us. Meditation of My Heart: Psalm 19:14

¹⁴Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Lord, my strength and redeemer, let my words and actions praise you. Through Your grace, teach me to guide my lips, so I utter no evil. Let my actions be blameless, and my words pleasing to You. Help me to embrace Your Word and rest in Your strength. Lord, guide me, so the meditations of my heart, my thoughts are righteous and pure in Your sight. Lord, you are my rock, my redeemer. You deliver me from evil.

When you are unsure, confused, and afraid, what does your heart meditate on?

Prayer: Our Heavenly Father, let our words and actions praise and glorify You. Lead us on Your path of righteousness. Lord, like the petals of the phlox radiate from the center of the flower, let us radiate Your love in our words and in the meditation of our hearts. Guide us to be righteous and glorify Your name. Lord, you are our strength and our redeemer. In Jesus’ holy name. Amen
