God’s Love – Psalm 136:3-6

Psalm 136 is about God, the creator of the universe, and highlights His mighty powers, His faithful love, and His miraculous works. God can perform great wonders that are beyond human comprehension, awe-inspiring, and miraculous acts. He made the earth, sky, waters, and the beauty of heaven and earth. God is omnipotent. He has power and control over all creation.

His faithful love endures forever.

God’s faithful love is always present for everyone and never changes. He is faithful and cares about us. We should thank Him for His compassion, mercy, and grace toward us. Thanks to God for his never-ending mercy, goodness, and love. When we realize God’s work in our lives and worship and read His word, we cultivate a heart of gratitude, focusing on our blessings and maintaining a positive outlook on life. The Lord is good; His faithful love endures forever.

The Lord is Near – Psalm 145:18

The LORD is near all who cry out to him, all who cry out to him sincerely. – Psalm 145:18 (NET)

In Psalm 145, David is praising and telling of the greatness of God. God is omnipresent, meaning that He is near and present everywhere, at all times. He is easy to reach and pays attention to those who really want to find Him. When we call on the Lord or cry out to Him with sincere faith and open hearts, He draws near. God is willing to have a close and personal relationship with us. He is there for us, ready to help us, comfort us, and listen to our prayers.

The nearness of God brings us comfort, solace, and hope during difficult times. The knowledge that God is always near and open to our call gives peace and security. We know we are never alone in our struggles.

When you seek me in prayer and worship, you will find me available to you. If you seek me with all your heart and soul, Jeremiah 29:13 (NET)

God wants to have a genuine relationship with us, so we should seek Him with humility, honesty, and a sincere heart. God listens to the prayers of His people and acts on our requests with His timing and wisdom. The Lord is near and accessible and attentive to those who earnestly seek Him.

This was written by John to early Christians. He is emphasizing the importance of leading a genuine Christian life. To abide in Jesus means to be a true follower of Him and to have a continuous, faithful, enduring relationship with Him.

A true follower of Jesus conducts themselves in a way that embodies the actions and teachings of Christ. They live their daily life emulating Jesus’ humility, compassion, love, and obedience to God. By prayer, studying scripture, and guidance from the Holy Spirit, we can learn to walk as Jesus walked.

To walk like Jesus means to show His love, obedience, compassion, and forgiveness in everything we do. When we walk as Jesus walked, we demonstrate to the world His love.

Lord Jesus, we thank You for Your love, mercy, grace, and forgiveness. Help us to walk as You walked, spreading compassion and love. Teach us to be humble, faithful, and obedient.
