Loving Grace: Ephesians 2: 4-5

4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us, 5 even though we were dead in offenses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you are saved!

Ephesians 2:4-6 New English Translation (NET Bible)

God is rich in mercy, great in forgiveness, and amazing in grace. He loves us with unconditional, unending love. We have sinned, ignored God, and rejected His word. However, with merciful love, God has forgiven our sins and brought us salvation through His son Jesus, who died for our sins. By the grace of God, we are saved! Glory be to God!

Prayer: Our Father, we are in awe of your care and love for us. Like the Guzmania absorb their nutrients from above and gets support from the rock, help us to reach to You for guidance and lean on You for strength and support. 6 I’m writing to encourage you to fan into a flame and rekindle the fire of the spiritual gift God imparted to you when I laid my hands upon you. 7 For God will never give you the spirit of fear, but the Holy Spirit who gives you mighty power, love, and self-control.

Paul is writing to Timothy to encourage. It is necessary to let go of fear to feel the mighty power of the Spirit of God. To fan into a flame, rekindling the fire of the Spirit inside of us. To grasp courage and let go of fear. To hold tight to self-discipline and follow God’s path for us. To feel and share God’s love.

What fear are you ready release to let go of and let God handle?

Prayer: Dear Loving Father, We thank you for your many gifts to us. Like the bright orange sturdy Tithonian flowers, help us to be strong and stalwart in our faith. As the flowers shine and reflect the sun, teach us, Lord Jesus, to shine bright. May your mighty power propel us forward in courage, strength, and love. In Jesus’s holy name. Amen
