Glory and Majesty: Jude 1:24-25

24 To him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy— 25 to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.

Jude 1 24:25 (NIV)

Jude praises God, our Savior, and encourages us. First, he describes what God can do for us; prevent us from stumbling and present us before His glorious presence without fault. In God’s presence, we will rejoice and find great joy. Then Jude describes God’s attributes; His majesty (magnificence and sovereign power), His dominion (authority), and His glory (greatness, honor). God so loved us that He gave us Jesus, our mediator, our salvation. Our Lord has been here from the beginning, is here now, and forever. These verses often are used as a doxology or benediction.

Have you taken time to worship and praise God? His majesty, glory, and love abound.

Prayer; Lord, we thank you for your forgiveness and mercy to us. We praise and worship you; Your glory is abundant, Your majesty abounds, and Your power is mighty. Guide us in Your truth and teach us Your ways. Like the open flowers of the lilies reach toward the sun, let us be open to Your direction and reach forward toward Your path for us. In Jesus’ holy name. Amen

Perfect Love: 1 John 4:12

12 No one has seen God, ever. But if we love one another, God dwells deeply within us, and his love becomes complete in us – perfect love!

1 John 4:12 (MSG)

We haven’t seen God’s image physically, but it was displayed in Jesus’ life. God, through the Holy Spirit, dwells within the hearts of His people. When we abide in Him, He transforms us until His love becomes complete in us; and we move away from worldly action becoming, more Christ-like. We are transformed and act with love and compassion; His love completes us – perfect love! Let us be recognized as Christians by our love.

No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God resides in us, and his love is perfected in us.

1 John 4:12 (NET)

Do others see God in you, by your love? Are you striving to be more Christ-like and perfected in love?

Prayer; Our Heavenly Father, we might not see you, but we feel your presence and are comforted by You. Thank You for Your love and compassion for us. Lord, teach us to be open-hearted and abide in You. Guide us to learn from and submit to the Holy Spirit to live in truth, so Your love becomes complete in us. Like violets are recognized by their delicate purple flowers, let us be recognized through our Christ-like actions and perfected love for one another.

I believe in the power of prayer and would be glad to pray for you. Leave a comment or message me on the contact page. 🌺

Confident Hope of Salvation: Romans 5:3-5

3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

Roman 5:3-5 NLT

Our earthly problems and trials, help us to develop perseverance and endurance. Endurance strengthens our character, bringing God’s approval, and creating hope, a confident hope of salvation. This hope does not disappoint us, for God has poured out his endless love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, His gift to us. For Christians, the hope of salvation keeps us rejoicing while going through problems and trials. The Lord is calling us closer to Him, to trust in Him more deeply.

When times are difficult are you able to rejoice, confident in the hope of salvation?

Prayer: Dear Lord, in difficult times, let us turn to you, You are our confident hope of salvation. Like the crocus has two sets of 3 petals that surround the center, we have the Holy Trinity that surrounds us with hope and love. We thank you and rejoice that the Holy Spirit fills our hearts with Your love. In Jesus’ holy name. Amen
