See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah43:19(NIV)
In this verse, God wants people to let go of the past and recognize His work in their lives. He encourages us to embrace His divine, transformative work by opening our hearts and minds to new possibilities and new beginnings. Our God is powerful and able to create new opportunities and transform circumstances for us.
God can make a way and provide for us even in difficult seasons and hard times. His past acts of guidance and provision show His ongoing care. He provided manna for food and water from a rock to sustain the Israelites. Making a way in the wilderness and rivers in a dry wasteland shows God’s ability to provide when there seems to be no way. As Paul says in Philippians, God will meet our needs.
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 (ESV)
This verse assures us that God will guide us; we need to be open to a “new thing” God is doing, even when it’s not visible. We need to trust that God will guide us and have hope and faith in God’s promises and in His power to transform circumstances.

Heavenly Father, help us see Your love and constant presence in our lives. Guide us on our path and teach us to embrace Your new thing: new possibilities, with open minds. Let us not lose hope but realize You will meet our needs and create new opportunities. May our hearts be open and bloom like flowers along a garden path. In Jesus’ holy name. Amen.
