David is asking God to open his eyes to let him perceive, be enlightened, and understand God’s Word. He wanted the glorious wonders of the Scriptures to be revealed. Let us also open our eyes to the miracles and marvels, while striving for deeper understanding, and the spiritual wisdom found in God’s Word. Let us discern the wonders in the Word and be illuminated by its truth.

Prayer: Our Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your guidance and Your forgiveness. Help us to read and understand Your Word. Open our eyes to Your teachings and to marvel at the wonders found within the Bible. Like our eyes appreciate and dwell on the beauty of an opening rosebud, teach us to open our eyes to dwell on, and appreciate the miracle-wonders hidden in Your Word. In Jesus’ loving and holy name.
