This is a hymn/psalm of David, his rejoicing with a thankful heart. This hymn; was sung when the ark arrived in Jerusalem. It was a praise hymn to rejoice and glorify God to proclaim His holy name. It was a hymn of remembrance of the wonders the Lord has performed. It was a reminder to seek the Lord and His strength. A reminder for the people to give thanks and continuously seek the Lord. It reminds us that it is good to give thanks and remember all that God had done for us. To share and make known to all God’s marvelous works and wonders.

Prayer; Our Heavenly Father, we thank You and raise our voice in praise, proclaiming Your holy name. Our hearts rejoice in Your mercy and grace. Glory to God in the Highest: Luke 2:13-14

11For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Luke 2:11-14 (KJV)

An angel announced to the shepherds watching their sheep by night, the birth of Christ the Lord. Then a multitude of heavenly hosts appeared praising God with glory; He gave His Son to be our Savior. The angels were worshiping the birth of Christ, the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in the manger. God’s goodwill and love gave birth to the Savior, the Prince of Peace, to bring peace for all. Gloria in Excelsis Deo is Latin for “Glory to God in the Highest.” Let us remember to worship our Father in heaven and let our hearts focus on the gift of Jesus, our Savior.

Christmas Carol – Angels We Have Heard On High – Lyrics written by James Chadwick fit to the French tune – Gloria

Angels we have heard on high
Sweetly singing o’er the plains
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains
Gloria in excelsis Deo!
Gloria in excelsis Deo!

Shepherds, why this jubilee?
Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be?
Which inspire your heavenly songs?
Gloria in excelsis Deo!
Gloria in excelsis Deo!

Come to Bethlehem and see
Him whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee,
Christ the Lord, the newborn King.
Gloria in excelsis Deo!
Gloria in excelsis Deo!

Filled with God: Ephesians 3:19-20

19 You will know Christ’s love, which goes far beyond any knowledge. I am praying this so that you may be completely filled with God. 20 Glory belongs to God, whose power is at work in us. By this power he can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine.

Ephesians 3:19-20(GWT)

Christ’s love is unconditional, encompassing, tender, forgiving, and patient. The true immensity of His redeeming love and forgiveness is unfathomable, beyond our knowledge. His extravagant love fills our souls, opens our hearts, and directs us to the will of God. When we are filled with God, we become in touch with His power, love, strength, and His direction. We lift our voices in song and praise for the glory and power of God, thankful for His abundant grace toward us.

When we are filled with God, His power is at work in us. When you feel powerless, do you turn to God and allow His power to work?

Prayer: Our Heavenly Father, we are in awe of your power, forgiveness, and love for us. We thank you for Your son Jesus and His great sacrifice and love for us. God fill us, teach us to be open-hearted, forgiving, and thankful. Like the lovely open, centered, allium flowers, let us be open to Your presence, centered on You, and spread Your love. In Jesus’ holy name. Amen

Power of God: Ephesians 3:20-21

20 Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by his power at work within us; 21 glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus for all generations, forever and always. Amen.

Ephesians 3:20-21 (CEB)

This scripture is a portion of Paul’s prayer for the Ephesians, a prayer to increase their faith in the power of the Lord. We achieve the power of God when we let the Holy Spirit work in us, giving us strength, and power to accomplish things beyond our comprehension. Glory to God is when we honor Him in our thoughts and actions when we strive to serve and bring joy to our heavenly Father. Paul closes by praying that all future generations will experience the power, glory, and hope found in Christ Jesus.

Are you limiting your expectations to what you perceive you can do or are you letting the power of God work through you?

Prayer: Our Heavenly Father, we praise and glorify your name. Strengthen us and guide us to accomplish things beyond our comprehension through Your power and strength. Like the fuchsia plant is clothed in open, bright, and bold flowers teach us to be open, shine brightly, and boldly rely on Your power God. In Christ Jesus’ holy name, we pray. Amen.

Glory: Philippians: 4:19-20

19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. 20 To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Philippians 4:19-20

19 I am convinced that my God will fully satisfy every need you have, for I have seen the abundant riches of glory revealed to me through the Anointed One, Jesus Christ!

The Passion Version – Philippians 4: 19

We behold glory in our God Almighty, we praise and worship Him. His attributes are beyond comprehension. Jesus’s life and teachings led us toward understanding the glory of God our Father. The beauty is God the Almighty loves us, provides for us, and satisfies all our needs. Our job is to accept God’s teachings, follow His path, and glorify and praise our holy blessed Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

How do you glorify God?

Prayer: Lord of all, amazing Father, we give thanks and glorify Your Name. We bask in Your unconditional love, amazing grace, and forgiveness toward us. Like the beauty of the poinsettias pink blossoms brighten winter days, Your compassion toward us brightens our lives. Almighty God, we glorify You, praise You and worship You! In Jesus’ holy name. Amen.
