Psalm 59 was written by David, it is a prayer for delivery and protection from his enemies. In verse 16, the psalm becomes a song of assurance, praising the Lord for His past mercies and grace, exhibiting David’s confidence in God. Like David, let us remember, to proclaim/sing, of God’s strength, protection, and His loyal love for us. God is our refuge, a place of shelter in times of trouble, and our strength. Let us remember to give thanks praising the Lord for His loyal love every morning, afternoon, and evening.

Prayer: Our Heavenly Father, we praise you for your love, forgiveness, and protection. Help us to grow in faith to trust You, rely on Your Strength, and remember your past mercies. Lord, we thank you for being our refuge and place of shelter when we face trouble. We praise You for Your loyal love and compassion. Like the petunias bright stripes radiate from the center of the blossom, let us radiate Your loyal love from our heart center to those around us. In Jesus’ loving and holy name. Amen

Many Psalms and especially verses like this one are a wonderful reminder to lean into Gods character and His love for us when we are fearful.

Every morning when I let out the dog, I see a very bright planet. I think it might be Venus. This morning I got up at 4 rather than 5 when I usually see it, and the planet was not there! I thought maybe it was cloudy outside, but that wasn’t the case. An hour later, I went to the door expecting to see it, and I did! It was right on time, 5 AM, God’s time for it to show up! At that moment, I exclaimed, “God, you are the only constant, stability in my life”, and He is! I am indebted to His loyal love 💕.

Amen. I would be lost without His loyal love. He never fails when I think I will be overcome, even reminding me that He has overcome. I need those reminders frequently! Thanks for passing on another reminder. He is most definitely worthy of our praise. ❤
